ALTO Architecture is a minority-owned architecture and planning practice founded by Gauri and Travis. ALTO brings decades of combined years of deep architectural expertise across every phase of the development lifecycle—from feasibility and concept design through entitlement, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
We specialize in the full spectrum of housing development, including market-rate, mixed-use, affordable, workforce, and permanent supportive housing.
Our practice is built on responding to the needs to of the community and providing exceptional design through thoughtful collaboration, technical rigor, and fiscal discipline.

Gauri Rajbaidya
Designing, facilitating, and guiding the development of culturally specific, accessible housing has been at the heart of Gauri’s work as a partner at ALTO. As a board member and volunteer for local non-profits, Gauri gives back to his community through advocacy, helping to amplify the voices of underrepresented populations and inform legislative action that recognizes the needs of diverse communities.

Travis Dang
Travis is passionate about creating vibrant, connected communities. A natural collaborator, he works closely with clients and stakeholders — listening carefully and synthesizing diverse perspectives into clear design direction. His designs are rooted in a deep understanding of place, context, and the people who inhabit them, resulting in places that leave a lasting impression on both clients and communities.
